The crackdown on online poker by the US government may have an impact on the live action tournaments of the World Series of Poker. The WSOP has acted to comply with the US by removing any advertising or logos of online poker rooms. While this has helped avoid any confrontations with US officials for the series itself, poker players who have a lot of money tied up in online poker accounts may not be able to afford the buy ins of the WSOP, which range up to $10,000 and more.
