With the events of April pushing back the online poker industry some worry that the WSOP will suffer. WSOP officials have said they think the World Series of Poker will not have any shortage of players. While the WSOP has not been targeted by the US, and in fact has a decades long history of legality, the fact that some poker players have funds tied up in online poker sites seized by the US could mean there is less money to be used to buy in to the WSOP. Ty Stewart, the Executive Director for the WSOP, admitted there was a concern, but the WSOP pointed out that there are still live satellites players can use to win seats.
